the main gathering area in the school located off the Entrance Hall. Students eat their meals, receive daily owl post, and have certain special events here. The Great Hall is a large hall that can easily hold all of the school's students, staff, and guests. It has tall walls that reach up to the ceiling, which is covered with candles and enchanted to look like the sky above. At the front of the hall, is the staff table, which is designed to house the entire Hogwarts staff.
The highlight of the table is the throne-like chair in the centre of the table where the current Headmaster or Headmistress sits. The Great Hall, as well as serving as the area for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the students and staff, was also the place in which many important events took place, such as the traditional Sorting Ceremony each year and the defeat of Lord Voldemort, which signified the close of the Battle of Hogwarts climatic end of the Second Wizarding War. To the left of the table is a door which leads to a chamber with portraits.

2011-11-03 [Sigyn, The Faithful Wife]: Blair sat at the teacher's table, watching as students started filing in. She smiled a little, waving to the students that waved to her. She loved this school.

Hazel looked around at the Gryffindor table, trying to find a place to sit.

Amanda was already seated at Hufflepuff, talking to some of her friends.

2011-11-03 [wolvie]: Remus was sitting at the teacherss table yawning a little it had been a full moon last night and he was exhausted

Ron walks over tot he Gryfindor table taking a seat at the end of the table

Hazel sat down at the table, pulling out a pocket sized book and unfolding it to it's proper size.

2011-11-03 [Ritsuka-Kun]: Tonks smiled as she made her way into the great hall humming lightly.

Raven looked around curiously at everything and everyone in the great hall.

2011-11-04 [wolvie]: Remus nods, "I'm alright just sleepy" he smiles softly

Ron looks at his plate waiting for the food hungrilly

Hazel started reading,chewing on her lip a little.

Amanda was just talking and hanging out.

2011-11-04 [Ritsuka-Kun]: Tonks smiled as she hopped up to Remus "hey lupin"

Raven opened a book and started to read.

2011-11-04 [wolvie]: Remus looks over at Tonks, "Hi Nymphradora" he looks back at Blair, "My life is always crazy"

Ron tilts her head at Hazel wondering how on earth anyone could read at a time like dinner

Blair smiled a little and nodded, "I know how that is." She saw Tonks and smiled, "Hey."

2011-11-04 [Ritsuka-Kun]: Tonks "its tonks and you know it" she smiled "hey blair see she knows its tonks"

2011-11-04 [wolvie]: Ron shrugs a little and looks at his plate

Remus rolls his eyes a little, "it's not proper" he says to Tonks

2011-11-04 [Sigyn, The Faithful Wife]: Blair chuckled a little, then raised a brow at Remus, "So... If your name was...Remudorkin...You'd want us to call you Remudorkin?"

Hazel looked up, saw Ron and smiled a little, "Didn't you eat at all?"She asked very softly, so her stammer couldn't happen.
